Twins SS Everett headed back to DL

May 22, 2008 - 6:04 PM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Minnesota Twins shortstop Adam Everett will be placed back on the 15-day disabled list due to nagging pain in his right shoulder.

The move is expected to be announced following the completion of Thursday's afternoon series finale with the Texas Rangers.

Everett was originally placed on the DL on April 15 with a right shoulder strain, but has experienced continuing pain in the joint, even taking a cortisone shot to try and deal with the tendinitis.

Brendan Harris replaced Everett in the lineup on Thursday.

An eight-year veteran, Everett has hit .189 with a home run and seven RBI in 25 games this season.
