Ramirez sits with sore hamstring
Jun 15, 2008 - 4:13 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Boston Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez was again scratched from the starting lineup Sunday to rest his sore hamstring.Ramirez sat out Saturday's 6-4, 10-inning win over the Cincinnati Reds after tweaking the hamstring in Friday's 3-1 loss.
He left Friday's contest in the seventh inning after informing manager Terry Francona that the hamstring was bothering him.
Ramirez started Friday's game in left field after 10 straight appearances as the designated hitter, which was an attempt limit stress on his leg.
