Red Sox OF Ramirez not in lineup
Jul 23, 2008 - 7:34 PM SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Boston Red Sox outfielder Manny Ramirez was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's contest with soreness in his right knee.Ramirez, who is batting .471 (8-for-17) since the All-Star break, has been used as a designated hitter in the last four games.
Sean Casey will hit sixth and serve as the designated hitter against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday, while first baseman Kevin Youkilis will bat fourth in the order.
The 36-year-old Ramirez is hitting .301 this season with 19 home runs and 62 RBI.
