Twins designate IF Lamb
Aug 25, 2008 - 11:22 PM SEATTLE (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Twins designated infielder Mike Lamb for assignment prior to Monday's game against the Seattle Mariners.Lamb, 33, hit just .233 with one home run and 32 RBI in 81 games and was designated to make room for reliever Eddie Guardado, who was acquired from Texas earlier Monday.
The Twins have 10 days to either trade or release Lamb, who signed a two-year deal worth $6.6 million in the offseason.
