Nationals RHP Hill out for season

Aug 28, 2008 - 8:59 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Nationals announced Thursday that righthander Shawn Hill will not pitch for the rest of the season.

Hill, who has not pitched since June 24, is still suffering from swelling in his right elbow and will see Dr. James Andrews on Friday for further examination.

The 27-year-old made 12 starts this season, compiling a 1-5 record with a 5.83 ERA.

Over his four-year career, Hill is 7-15 with a 4.93 ERA.
