Pirates CF McLouth leaves game

Sep 7, 2008 - 9:37 PM SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Nate McLouth left Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants after suffering an injury to his face.

McLouth was cut near his left eye after making a diving attempt on Pablo Sandoval's double in the bottom of the fourth inning. The ball short-hopped in front of the diving McLouth and struck him on the left side of the face.

The 26-year-old McLouth, who was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored before leaving the game, was replaced in center field by Nyjer Morgan.
