Pirates OF Michaels ejected
Sep 14, 2008 - 1:23 AM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Jason Michaels was ejected for arguing balls and strikes in the bottom of the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.Michaels, who was batting for reliever Denny Bautista, struck out looking to end a four-run rally and promptly began arguing with plate umpire Paul Emmel.
The 32-year-old Michaels is hitting .223 with eight home runs and 48 RBI in 114 games for the Cleveland Indians and Pirates this season.
