Twins exercise option on C Redmond
Oct 9, 2008 - 3:41 PM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Minnesota Twins on Thursday exercised the team's option on catcher Mike Redmond for the 2009 season.Redmond batted .287 with 12 RBI in 38 games this past season.
The 37-year-old has a career batting average of .292 with 13 home runs and 231 RBI in 697 games over 11 seasons with the Florida Marlins and Twins.
