Report: Lakers F Odom out with shoulder injury
Mar 4, 2007 - 2:16 AM Los Angeles (Ticker) -- Injuries continue to mount for coach Phil Jackson and the Los Angeles Lakers.According to the Los Angeles Times, forward Lamar Odom will be out indefinitely with a left shoulder injury suffered during Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
An MRI discovered a torn labrum in Odom's left shoulder, the same shoulder that required him to miss the final 17 games of the 2004-05 season.
Odom will be evaluated by a shoulder specialist on Monday, when a time table will be determined for his return.
The eight-year veteran was sidelined for 22 games earlier this season with a sprained knee before returning on January 26. He is averaging 16.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 38 contests.
Los Angeles, which travels to Phoenix on Sunday, is already without forwards Luke Walton (ankle) and Vladimir Radmanovic (separated shoulder).
