Mihm undergoes right foot surgery
Feb 13, 2008 - 11:49 PM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - Los Angeles Lakers center Chris Mihm underwent successful surgery to remove a screw from his right heel on Wednesday.Mihm's recovery time is expected to be approximately six weeks.
In 19 games this season, the 7-0 Milwaukee native has averaged 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds. Mihm has not played since December 23, when he was forced out of the lineup due to bursitis in his right heel and a sore right Achilles tendon.
Mihm, 28, has had a history of injuries, missing all of last season while recovering from reconstructive ankle surgery.
In his seven-year NBA career, Mihm is averaging 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 414 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Lakers.
