PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Forward Shavlik Randolph scored 12 of his game-high 19 points in the second half to help the Portland Trail Blazers to a 102-80 preseason victory against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
Acquired from Philadelphia during the offseason, Randolph was 9-for-9 from the field and pulled down 10 rebounds for Portland (2-1). LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy each added 14 points for the Trail Blazers.
The Trail Blazers broke open a close game in the second half, sealing the victory with a 6-0 run midway through the fourth quarter. Guard Jerryd Bayless fueled the run with two steals that led to fast-break dunks by Randolph to open an 82-67 lead.
Portland finished shooting 58.1 percent from the floor (43-for-74).
Atlanta managed just 16 points in the fourth quarter. Overall, the Hawks shot 29-for-77 from the field for a 37.7 percentage.
Atlanta (2-1), which lost for the first time in preseason play, was led by forward Josh Smith and guard Acie Law, who scored 12 points apiece.
It was the first NBA game in the year-old Sprint Center.
