Lakers exercise option on G Farmar

Oct 27, 2008 - 11:16 PM EL SEGUNDO, California (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers on Monday exercised a fourth-year contract option for the 2009-10 season on guard Jordan Farmar.

According to the league's pay scale, Farmar will make $1.9 million during that campaign.

The 26th overall pick of the 2006 draft, Farmar averaged career highs of 9.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 20.6 minutes over 82 games last season.

A third year guard out of UCLA, Farmar led the Lakers in scoring (12.3) and assists (3.4) this preseason.
