Knicks F Lee will not return vs. Nets with bruised back
Dec 11, 2008 - 2:39 AM EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey -- New York Knicks forward David Lee will not return to Wednesday's contest against the New Jersey Nets after bruising his back.Midway through the third quarter, Lee was positioning himself for a rebound among a host of Nets, was undercut and took a hard spill to the hardwood.
He had 10 points and one rebound before his departure, snapping his impressive streak of double-doubles at 10.
New Jersey forward Stromile Swift also suffered an apparent right ankle injury when he came down on Tim Thomas' foot while fouling New York's forward in transition. Swift went back to the locker room for treatment and his return is questionable.
