Knicks F Lee, Spurs G Parker honored by NBA

Feb 2, 2009 - 8:46 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- New York Knicks forward David Lee and San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker were named Players of the Week for the Eastern and Western Conferences, respectively, on Monday.

Lee helped lead the Knicks to a 3-0 week with wins over Houston, Atlanta and Indiana, averaging 19.0 points and 15.3 rebounds.

Lee recorded double-doubles in all three contests and ranks second in the league with 35 double-doubles on the season.

On Sunday at Indiana, Lee had 23 points and led the Knicks with 17 rebounds in New York's 122-113 win over the Pacers.

During a 3-0 week for the Spurs, Parker averaged 25.0 points and 6.0 assists.

On Friday, Parker scored 26 points and added five assists and two steals in the Spurs' 114-104 victory at Phoenix.

Other nominees were Charlotte's Raja Bell, Cleveland's LeBron James and Mo Williams, Indiana's T.J. Ford, Milwaukee's Charlie Villanueva, Minnesota's Al Jefferson, Orlando's Dwight Howard and Portland's Brandon Roy.
