CCSU holds off late charge by Robert Morris to win, 75-70

(AP) Khalen Cumberlander and Austin Nehls combined for 35 points and Central Connecticut opened a four-game road trip with a 65-60 win over Robert Morris Thursday night.The Blue Devils built a 16-point lead in the first half, taking a 9-0 lead five minutes into the game. By halftime they led 36-20.
But the Colonials got traction out of halftime and cut the lead to 10 five minutes into the period. Isaiah Still knocked down a 3-pointer with 4:49 left to make it 57-48 to start a personal 10-point run that got Robert Morris within five, 60-55.
But the Colonials could get no closer.
Cumberlander finished with 18 points and Nehls added 17 for Central Connecticut (3-19, 2-9 Northeastern). Brandon Peel scored 10 points and grabbed 17 rebounds - one shy of his career high.
Still scored 19 points to lead the Colonials (6-18, 4-7).
