Florida St (19-13) vs. No. 1 North Carolina (29-2) 12:00 pm EDT

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - On the heels of an eight-game winning streak, top-ranked North Carolina looks to carry its momentum into the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament when they face Florida State in the quarterfinals.

The Tar Heels, who won the ACC tournament last season, defeated Duke in the regular season finale last Saturday, 76-68, to claim the regular season conference crown.

Tyler Hansbrough leads Carolina, which is second in the nation in scoring at 89.7 points per game, in scoring and rebounding at 23.1 and 10.5 per game, respectively. Hansbrough had 16 double-doubles this season.

Point guard Ty Lawson, who suffered a sprained left ankle in the first meeting with Florida State, is averaging 8.0 points and 3.7 assists in three games of limited minutes off the bench since returning on March 1.

The Seminoles have won five of their last six games, including a first round 70-60 victory over Wake Forest on Thursday. Jason Rich scored 21 points and Ralph Mims added 16 in the win.

The winner will face the winner of Virginia Tech and Miami in the semifinals on Saturday.
