SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Washington buried Nicholls State with a record-setting night.
Brandon Burmeister scored 17 points and Justin Dentmon added 16 as the 16th-ranked Huskies set a school mark with 17 3-pointers in a 102-74 romp over the Colonels.
Six players hit in double figures for Washington (2-0), which shot 55 percent (38-of-69) from the field and 17-of-34 from 3-point range.
Washington had 12 3-pointers in the first half alone in storming to a 56-22 lead. The Huskies hit five shots from the arc during a 23-2 run that gave them a 36-8 cushion with 6:39 left in the half.
Ironically, the Colonels (0-3) had three fewer turnovers than the Huskies and outscored them, 21-9, at the free throw line, but could not withstand the barrage of 3-pointers.
Quincy Pondexter scored 14 points and Jon Brockman had his second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Washington.
Adonis Gray scored 29 points and Aaron Scott added 24 for Nicholls State, which shot 44 percent (25-of-57).
The Huskies' previous school record of 16 3-pointers was set in a win over California on March 3, 2005.
