Virginia Commonwealth (7-3) vs. No. 4 Oklahoma (10-0), 10:00 p.m. EST
OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- Off to its best start in five years, Oklahoma has yet to show signs of slowing down.
The fourth-ranked Sooners host Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday.
Oklahoma has matched its best start since the 2003-04 campaign. Another win would give the Sooners their best start since they went 12-0 to begin the 1989-90 season.
Blake Griffin has been the biggest reason for Oklahoma's success, registering eight double-doubles thus far this season.
The sophomore had 11 points and 11 rebounds in a 70-52 victory over Utah on December 13, but scored all of his points from the foul line. He was 0-for-3 from the field.
Virginia Commonwealth comes in on a four-game winning streak and should not be taken lightly.
Senior guard Eric Maynor is averaging 24.4 points to lead the Rams and notched his third 30-point game in VCU's 73-69 triumph over Akron on Wednesday.
