AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Playing its first game in 11 days, seventh-ranked Texas returns to the court to host Appalachian State on Friday.
The Longhorns have been out of action since a 74-69 victory at Wisconsin on December 23.
A.J. Abrams scored 21 points and Damion James had 18 and 15 rebounds to lead Texas, which is 6-0 at home this season. Abrams leads the team in scoring at 19.8 per contest.
Appalachian State snapped a two-game losing streak with a 112-47 victory over Division II Milligan on Tuesday. The 65 points are the school's largest margin of victory.
Kellen Brand leads a balanced attack at 12.4 points per game. The Mountaineers have five players averaging in double figures.
