Lady Vols' Warlick receives contract extension, raise
Oct 2, 2015 - 3:12 PM KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Tennessee women's basketball coach Holly Warlick has received a one-year contract extension and $100,000 raise. She now will earn $665,000 per year and has four years remaining on her contract.Tennessee on Friday also said it has promoted Kyra Elzy from assistant coach to associate head coach.
Warlick has gone 86-20 in three seasons. Tennessee went 30-6, won a share of the Southeastern Conference regular-season title and reached an NCAA regional final last season. Tennessee also reached a regional final in 2013 and regional semifinal in 2014.
Warlick succeeded Pat Summitt, who stepped down in April 2012 after winning eight national titles and a record 1,098 games. Warlick played for Summitt and was an assistant on her staff for 27 seasons.
