No. 14 Duke women use fast start to top Minnesota, 84-64

(AP) Azura Stevens picked up her fifth double-double of the season, putting up 26 points and pulling down 11 rebounds, and No. 14 Duke used a fast start to get past Minnesota 84-64 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Thursday night.Stevens extended her streak of consecutive games scoring in double figures to 23 and she had an efficient night shooting, hitting 10 of 17 from the field, making her only 3-point attempt. Rebecca Greenwell added 17 points and grabbed eight boards, and Oderah Chidom and Angela Salvadores contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Back from spending six days in Riviera Maya, Mexico, for the Cancun Challenge, Duke (7-1) wasted little time getting untracked. The Blue Devils took a quick 10-2 lead and pushed it to a nine-point advantage by the end of the first quarter.
Minnesota (4-2) got 23 points from Carlie Wagner and 21 from Rachel Banham.
