Mosby scores 16 as Baylor cruises
Nov 25, 2006 - 12:32 AM GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND, Bahamas (Ticker) -- Bernice Mosby scored 16 points as No. 15 Baylor suffocated Central Florida, 78-48, in the semifinals of the fourth annual Junkanoo Jam.Angela Tisdale, Danielle Wilson and Jhasmin Player scored 10 points each for the Bears (5-1), who held the Golden Knights to 30 percent (17-of-57) shooting and forced 29 turnovers.
Baylor will play South Dakota State, a 62-55 winner over Virginia, in Saturday's final.
Central Florida scored the first basket of the game for its only lead. Baylor led, 37-20, at the break and held a 34-point lead in the second half.
Jessika Bradley added six points, five blocks four assists and three steals for Baylor, which shot 50 percent (28-of-56).
Francine Houston had 10 points and Lashaunda Slade added seven and three assists for the Golden Knights, which accumulated 18 offensive rebounds.
