Austin Peay tops SE Missouri 24-14 with late rally

Oct 10, 2009 - 9:43 PM CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.(AP) -- Ryan White rushed for a career-high 228 yards and a touchdown and Terrence Holt ran for 100 yards and two scores to pace Austin Peay's come-from-behind 24-14 victory over Southeast Missouri on Saturday.

The Governors (2-4, 1-2 Ohio Valley) trailed 14-3 after three quarters but scored 21 unanswered points in the final 10:29 of the game. Steph Stansell added a field goal for Austin Peay, which outgained Southeast Missouri 418 yards to 154.

Henry Harris' 1-yard run and Bryan Blanfort's 69-yard interception return propelled the Redhawks to a 14-3 edge. Mike Jones had 10 carries for 54 yards for Southeast Missouri (1-5, 0-4), which suffered its fifth straight loss.

The Governors rushed for 325 yards, while the Redhawks managed only 29 yards passing for the game and gained just 4 yards through the air in the second half.
