The eighth-ranked Tigers host Tulane on Saturday in the first meeting between the programs in more than 50 years.

The Tigers are coming off an impressive 27-17 victory over then-No. 2 Florida here last Saturday. Auburn, which had been stunned by Arkansas at home the previous week, 27-10, scored the final 19 points against the Gators, taking the lead on Tre Smith's 15-yard return of a blocked punt barely four minutes into the second half.
Brandon Cox completed 18-of-27 passes for 182 yards and Brad Lester ran for a career-high 94 yards on 17 carries for the Tigers, who did not score an offensive touchdown but held the ball for 36:43.
Tulane (2-4) lost at UTEP last week, 34-20, in a Conference USA matchup. Matt Forte ran for 141 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for the Green Wave, who did not help their cause by committing five turnovers.
The Green Wave rank 115th out of 119 Division I-A teams in scoring defense, surrendering 35.7 per contest.
