Turner out for Falcons, Pierce inactive for Giants
Nov 22, 2009 - 5:32 PM EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.(AP) -- Atlanta Falcons running backs Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood are inactive for the team's game against the New York Giants.Turner, fourth in the NFC in rushing, suffered a high ankle sprain last week against Carolina. Norwood is missing his fifth straight game with a hip flexor. Jason Snelling is starting at running back for Atlanta.
Wide receiver Roddy White, questionable with a sprained knee, is active.
As expected, the Giants are without linebacker Antonio Pierce, out indefinitely with a bulging disk in his neck. Chase Blackburn is starting in his place.
Cornerback Aaron Ross is active for the first time after missing the first nine games with a severe hamstring strain. Cornerback Kevin Dockery is inactive.
