Robert Nunn named Giants defensive line coach
Jan 27, 2010 - 10:26 PM EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.(AP) -- Veteran assistant Robert Nunn has been hired to coach the New York Giants' defensive line.Coach Tom Coughlin announced Wednesday that Nunn would be joining the staff as a replacement for Mike Waufle, who was fired after the season.
Nunn has spent the last 10 seasons in the NFL. The 22-year coaching veteran was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defensive line coach last season.
Prior to that, he spent four years coaching the defensive tackles for the Green Bay Packers. Nunn broke into the NFL as a defensive assistant with Miami, where he spent three seasons. He spent the following year in Washington before returning to the Dolphins for one year.
The hiring of Nunn comes a week after the Giants named former Buffalo interim coach Perry Fewell as their new defensive coordinator.
