Bengals trade LB Rivers to Giants
Apr 12, 2012 - 7:58 PM Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Bengals have sent linebacker Keith Rivers to the New York Giants in exchange for a fifth-round selection in this year's draft.The ninth overall pick in the 2008 draft, Rivers did not play at all in 2011 due to a wrist injury.
The 25-year-old USC product has yet to play a full 16-game season in his career. He appeared in seven games during his rookie campaign before suffering a broken jaw, then 13 games in 2009. He appeared in a career-high 15 games despite a foot injury in 2010.
Rivers has 186 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions in 35 career games.
