Giants K Carney inactive

Nov 16, 2008 - 5:48 PM EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- New York Giants kicker John Carney, the league's leading scorer, was inactive for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Carney, the NFL's oldest player at 44, has made all 27 of his extra points and 21-of-22 field goals for 90 points. No reason was given as to why Carney was inactive.

Lawrence Tynes, who missed the start of the season with a knee injury and has been handling kickoffs, will take Carney's place.
