Team Report
Record: 6-4 Next opponent: vs. Oakland, November 23 The injury-ravaged Broncos defied expectations to defeat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Denver, which was installed as touchdown underdogs in Atlanta, played without four key starters and a makeshift lineup, but outlasted the Falcons, 24-20. ... RB Peyton Hillis shifted from fullback to halfback and rushed for 44 yards and two scores. FB Spencer Larsen started at both the fullback and linebacker positions to become the first NFL player since 2003 to get the start on both sides of the ball. "It's great," said Larsen, who last got the start on offense and defense as a quarterback and linebacker in high school. "I appreciate that the coaching staff gave me the opportunity. It's a great thing. It's even better that we won." ... QB Jay Cutler completed 19-of-27 passes for 216 yards, including a game-winning touchdown pass to TE Daniel Graham.
