Penguins D Eaton out with knee injury

Mar 3, 2007 - 12:47 AM RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Mark Eaton is back on the shelf.

After missing 35 games with a broken wrist earlier this season, Eaton will be sidelined two to four weeks with a sprained knee, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced Friday.

Eaton, who is in his first season with the Penguins, suffered the injury in a collision with Ryan Hollweg in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win against the New York Rangers. The 29-year-old defenseman was out from November 6-January 20 with the broken left wrist.

In 28 games this season, Eaton has recorded two assists and 12 penalty minutes. He has 16 goals and 49 points in 341 career contests with Philadelphia, Nashville and Pittsburgh.
