Penguins lose D Whitney in setback vs. Avalanche
Nov 2, 2007 - 4:15 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- In addition to losing the game, the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday lost the services of defenseman Ryan Whitney, who left the 3-2 setback to the Colorado Avalanche in the second period with a groin injury.Whitney, who did not return, saw just over 12 minutes of action and recorded a minus-1 rating. The 24-year-old has registered three goals and three assists in 12 games this season.
