Penguins lose G Fleury to injury
Dec 12, 2007 - 6:44 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without starting goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury for up to two months.The team announced Wednesday that the 23-year-old will be out six to eight weeks with an ankle sprain. The 23-year-old suffered the injury in a 3-2 win over Calgary on December 6 and hasn't played since.
Fleury, who was the top overall draft pick by the Penguins in 2003, has played 21 games for the Penguins this season, posting a 9-8-1 record with a 2.90 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
The team also announced Wednesday that center Maxime Talbot will be out for two to four weeks with an ankle injury. Talbot has seven goals and 11 points in 24 games this season.
