Penguins recall G Fleury
Feb 24, 2008 - 8:12 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Sunday.Fleury has been sidelined 28 games with an ankle injury suffered on December 6 against the Calgary Flames. He reported to the Penguins' AHL affiliate on February 10 to begin his conditioning assignment.
A 23-year-old native of Quebec, Fleury has appeared in 21 games with the Penguins this season and owns a 9-8-1 record, including two shutouts. In his four-year career, Fleury is 66-65-2 with a 3.07 goals-against average in 159 games - all with Pittsburgh.
During Fleury's absence, Ty Conklin has thrived in net for the Penguins, going 16-4-4 with a 2.25 GAA.
In a corresponding move, Pittsburgh assigned left wing Connor James to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He has appeared in five games for the Penguins this season but has not scored.
