Penguins' Talbot may have broken foot
Apr 30, 2008 - 7:49 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - Pittsburgh Penguins center Max Talbot could have a broken right foot, according to a report on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette web site Wednesday.Talbot is believed to have suffered the injury blocking a shot during the team's Game Three victory over the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference semifinals on Tuesday.
He had the foot in a walking boot when he reported to Madison Square Garden for practice Wednesday, according to the newspaper.
Team officials declined to discuss Talbot's injury or his status for the remainder of the postseason. The Penguins lead the best-of-seven series with the Rangers three games to none heading into Thursday's Game Four.
Talbot has two points during the playoffs, after posting 12 goals and 26 points in 63 regular season games.
