Roberts in, Talbot out for Penguins
May 2, 2008 - 2:36 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- While failing to complete a sweep of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday made a lineup change, inserting veteran Gary Roberts in place of an injured Maxime Talbot.Returning from a groin injury, Roberts received 7 minutes, 33 seconds of ice time on 15 shifts in the Penguins' 3-0 loss to the Rangers in Game Four of their best-of-seven series. Pittsburgh still holds a three-games-to-one lead.
Roberts played in the first two games of the conference quarterfinals against the Ottawa Senators but missed the final two contests of that series and the first three of the semifinals with the groin injury. Prior to being hurt, the 41-year-old left wing had recorded two goals and 16 penalty minutes this postseason.
Talbot missed his first playoff game with a foot injury. The 24-year-old center has notched a goal and an assist in seven postseason contests.
