Penguins sign C Kennedy to extension
Sep 26, 2008 - 4:01 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday signed center Tyler Kennedy to a two-year extension.Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Kennedy played 55 games for the Penguins last season, registering 10 goals and 19 points along with 35 penalty minutes. He played in 20 playoff games for the Eastern Conference champions, recording four assists and 13 penalty minutes.
The 22-year-old was selected to play in the YoungStars game at NHL All-Star weekend last season but was unable to participate due to illness.
