Lightning assigns D Niskala to Norfolk

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) - The Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday assigned defenseman Janne Niskala to Norfolk of the American Hockey League.

Niskala has played in six games with the Lightning, recording a goal and two assists.

The native of Vasteras, Sweden tallied 19 goals and 25 assists in 80 games for Milwaukee of the AHL last season.
