Lightning RW St. Louis returns after getting stitches
Nov 22, 2008 - 4:07 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Martin St. Louis left Friday's 4-1 victory over the Nashville Predators in the first period with a facial injury but returned later in the game.St. Louis was struck in the face with a puck and promptly returned to the locker room, where he received 23 stitches.
The 33-year-old recorded an assist in the contest as the Lightning notched their first win in three games under interim coach Rick Tocchet.
St. Louis has recorded four goals and 10 assists in 19 games this season. The 10-year veteran has registered 212 tallies and 307 assists in 627 career contests with the Calgary Flames and Lightning.
