DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings look to get back into the win column when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.
Detroit had its five-game winning streak snapped on Monday, courtesy of a 3-2 overtime loss to Vancouver.
Center Pavel Datsyuk has tallied in three straight games, while right wing Marian Hossa has just one goal in his last four contests. Hossa had 23 points in his first 16 games.
The Canadiens have struggled after a strong start, winning just three of their last 10 contests.
Montreal is coming off back-to-back shootout losses, dropping its record to 4-4 in the bonus format.
Richard Park and Bill Guerin each scored for the New York Islanders in the shootout as Montreal lost, 4-3, on Monday. The game was highlighted by Canadiens defenseman Ryan O'Byrne scoring the tying goal in his own net after Carey Price went to the bench on a delayed penalty with 4:47 remaining.
Detroit won, 4-1, in the only meeting last season.
