GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Coyotes look to win their second straight game when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Friday.
Phoenix snapped a six-game losing streak (0-4-2) with a 3-2 victory at Columbus on Wednesday.
Viktor Tikhonov scored the game-winner with 2:32 remaining for the Coyotes, who are opening a four-game homestand.
The Avalanche have struggled to be consistent his season, but are coming off a 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.
Defenseman Daniel Tjarnqvist scored his first goal of the year and Ryan Smyth and Ian Laperriere also tallied for Colorado.
Phoenix went 3-0-1 against Colorado last season.
