Lightning send D Smaby to minors
Nov 29, 2008 - 6:11 PM DENVER (Ticker)- The Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday assigned defenseman Matt Smaby to Norfolk of the American Hockey League.Smaby, who registered 12 penalty minutes in 14 games with the parent club last season, has yet to make an appearance for the Lightning this year.
The 24-year-old has appeared in 141 career AHL games with Norfolk and Springfield, tallying four goals, 21 assists and 131 penalty minutes.
