Florida (8-11-3) at NY Rangers (17-7-2), 1:00 pm EST
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Rangers have enjoyed their current winning streak - even if it has been earned without any morsel of ease.
Coming off consecutive shootout victories, the Rangers eye their third game in a row when they host the Florida Panthers on Sunday.
New York has also won six of eight, with four of those victories coming via the bonus format.
After edging the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2, on Wednesday, New York held off the Panthers, 4-3, in the first game of this home-and-home set.
Henrik Lundqvist made 38 saves, and Nikolai Zherdev, Dan Fritsche and Aaron Voros scored for New York, while Radek Dvorak, Jay Bouwmeester and David Booth countered for Florida. Craig Anderson turned aside 43 shots in the losing effort.
The Panthers have dropped two in a row and four of five. They have yet to have to win three straight, but have suffered three skids of three games or more already.
While no team in the Eastern Conference has more points than the Rangers, no team in the conference has fewer than the Panthers.
