Penguins G Fleury set to return Saturday

Dec 12, 2008 - 10:14 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Marc-Andre Fleury is ready to return to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Fleury has missed the past 12 games with a groin injury, suffered November 15 against the Buffalo Sabres. He has been skating for a couple weeks and returned to practice Tuesday.

Fleury will either start in Pittsburgh's contest Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers or will serve as the backup to Dany Sabourin.

Penguins coach Michel Therrien did not reveal who will start at Philadelphia.

"(Fleury is) available," Therrien told the team's web site. "I don't have to answer today and that's a good thing. We're glad that Marc-Andre is ready to play, but we'll see (Saturday)."

Fleury, who helped lead the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, is 8-3-2 with a 2.86 goals-against-average this season.
