Canadiens acquire D Kemp from Penguins

Jan 5, 2009 - 11:48 PM MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Montreal Canadiens on Monday acquired defenseman T.J. Kemp from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2010 draft.

Kemp recorded one goal, eight assists and 22 penalty minutes in 22 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

The 27-year-old has 14 goals, 79 assists and 126 penalty minutes in 174 career games with the AHL's Penguins.
