Penguins get back two injured players

Jan 29, 2009 - 1:31 AM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins got healthier Wednesday as right wing Pascal Dupuis and center Maxime Talbot returned to the lineup against the New York Rangers.

The 29-year-old Dupuis had missed Pittsburgh's previous seven games with an ankle injury. Prior to getting hurt, he recorded nine goals and three assists in 37 contests.

A native of Laval, Quebec, the 6-1, 205-pound Dupuis has registered 92 goals and 94 assists in 472 career games with the Minnesota Wild, Rangers, Atlanta Thrashers and Penguins.

Talbot, 24, was sidelined for three contests with a wrist injury after notching five goals and five assists in 42 games. An eighth-round pick in 2002, the 5-11, 190-pounder from Lemoyne, Quebec has collected 35 tallies and 68 points in 228 career games with Pittsburgh.

The Penguins still are without left wing Ruslan Fedotenko (hand), center Mike Zigomanis (shoulder) and defensemen Sergei Gonchar (shoulder) and Brooks Orpik (groin).
