    UCLA men's basketball fell to Hofstra 88-78 for its first loss of the season on Thursday. The defeat came despite Jalen Hill's career-high 24 points. Hill also added 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the year. But it was not enough to get past Hofstra, which got its first-ever win against a Pac-12 opponent. The loss drops UCLA to 4-1 on the young season. The Bruins will get back in action on Monday when they take on BYU.
