Miles was 4-5 from behind the three-point line. Moore had nine rebounds and three steals. Lance Terry added 11 points and five rebounds.

Syracuse shot a hot 53.3% for the game while holding Northeastern to only 32.2% from the floor. Syracuse also outscored Northeastern 44-20 inside of the paint. Joseph Girard III led all scorers with 21 points. Judah Mints had 18 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Jesse Edwards added 19 points and seven rebounds.

It was a balanced attack for the Tar Heels as four players scored in double figures in the win. Day'Ron Sharpe led the way with 15 points and 8 rebounds, while Garrison Brooks recorded another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Heels. UNC played tough defense throughout the game, holding Northeastern to 36% shooting from the floor and causing 16 turnovers that led to 22 points. Tyson Walker had an amazing first half for Northeastern, scoring 21 of his 27 points before the break.

The Cuse defense was solid, holding Northeastern to 38% shooting from the floor and scoring 19 points on 21 forced turnovers.
