USF 45, SYR 0South Florida vs. Syracuse: The Orange lost to the Bulls, 45-0 in the Roofclaim.com Boca Raton Bowl. Syracuse turned the ball over four times and had just 159 total yards. Damien Alford caught four passes for 83 yards. Dan Villari threw for 55 yards and ran for 37 yards. For South Florida, Byrum Brown was 19-26 for 214 yards and three touchdowns, and he ran the ball 14 times for 64 yards.

For the second year in a row, the Syracuse Orange are heading to a bowl game. 'Cuse averaged 25.5 points per game during the season, but when they score it tends to be on a big play. Whether it be a run from LeQuint Allen or Garrett Shrader, or a deep pass to Donovan Brown, Umari Hattcher, or Damien Alford, Syracuse is a danger to score from anywhere on the field. The Orange finished the season off gaining bowl eligibility defeating Wake at home, 35-31. Orange quarterback Garrett Shrader passed for 173 yards and had 4 total touchdowns. Syracuse wide receiver Damien Alford hauled in 4 receptions for 126 yards and 2 scores and Umari Hatcher also snagged a TD reception. LeQuint Allen was responsible for 144 yards on 32 carries for SU.
