The Sam Houston statue near Huntsville, TX donned a 200 lb Texans H-Town color rush jersey to celebrate the release of four new Houston Texans uniforms on Tuesday.
The Texans' Battle Red alternate uniform is bold and built off the team's bullhead logo. On the sleeve and helmet, the bull's horn from the logo is pulled out and curves imposingly toward our opponents.
New Uniforms...and some sweet merch, too. Voice of the Texans Marc Vandermeer and Texans TV's Drew Dougherty - surrounded by, and decked out in, new Texans merchandise - talked about the new uniforms, the cool merch popping up in union with them and a whole lot more.
Check out all the small details in this updated classic: Our new away uniform stays close to our traiditonal look while adding elements like a side stripe that transforms into a bull's horn from the front to push the look in a modernized direction.
The new home uniform is a return to the classic Deep Steel Blue color the Texans unveiled in 2000. Matched with a Deep Steel Blue helmet with metallic blue flake, it's a classic inspired by Texas and our history.
Pull out the special elements of the Houston Texans' all-new H-Town inspired Color Rush uniform. Houston's own H-Town Blue accents and the Texans' new secondary H logo stand out on a bold new design.
The Houston Texans unveiled three brand new helmets, becoming one of the first teams with three helmets in their locker. In addition to the classic Deep Steel Blue helmet, which is now candy paint-inspired with blue flake, the team updated its Battle Red helmet and added a candy paint H-Town helmet with a new H logo on it.
