The Steelmen raced into a two-goal lead through Lukas Fadinger and Emmanuel Longelo. Rangers responded in the second period with goals from Youssef Chermiti and Nico Raskin but Motherwell stunned the home crowd as Longelo's second secured all three points in the 90th minute.
RAN 2, MOT 3Two late goals at Tynecastle kept Hearts in control of the title race. Emmanuel Longelo scored shortly after half-time to put the visitors ahead before Claudio Braga pulled one back. VAR awarded a penalty in the 88th minute which Lawrence Shankland duly slotted home before Pierre Landy Kabore made no doubt in stoppage time.
John McGlynn’s side secured a fully deserved three points to confirm a top-six finish in their return season to the top flight. The visitors made a fast start, taking the lead after just three minutes when Barney Stewart headed in Calvin Miller’s free-kick. Motherwell responded through Elliot Watt, whose excellent strike snuck through the gloves of Scott Bain. Ben Broggio restored the visitors’ advantage just before the break following a defensive error, and Miller later added a penalty to extend the lead. Tawanda Maswanhise grabbed a late consolation for Motherwell, who have now lost three of their last four matches.
